The first usable Wintersday hats ever.
They don't remove your hair, their don't look just plain silly.
They fit with many other armor sets, armor combos and costumes...

The best Wintersday hats ever.

It's nice to be getting hats that don't make you go completely bald or have silly looking flaps like that burger king crown. I also like that (like the recent Halloween ones) they're more accessory like and are usable beyond these events.

Just because they don't remove your hair or whatever doesn't make them good, and just because their free doesn't mean they can't point out flaws/critique on them. Personally I think the halo is too small and more than a little tacky, it looks as awkward as the Fable 2 halo to be honest. And the horns on the contrary are a bit too big and aren't aligned as well as they could be, so instead of 'Hellboy' you get 'Err ok what the hell'. If they wanted to do them big then they should have done it in a style similar to Lihiniel's picture.

Having said this I'll give them the fact that they are getting beter and rather than questionable seasonal headpieces we get some more all year round accessories.

Hahahuhaha, funny .

To those who don't get it, it's a reference to the super-awesome flamefest that was the cat ears / goggles for halloween.

Haven't got mine yet but i really like that both are animated.

I think I will likely use these much more than any other holiday headgear.

Good job ANet

Well I, personally, think that Anet did a wonderful job on the hats this year. I have been pretty disappointed in their choices for the past few years, for Halloween and Xmas, and this time I think they gave the community something terrific. Still wish we were able to get a few of the more traditional Xmas hats from days gone by tho. Either thru a quest or even a store "hat pack" purchase. But over-all, Well Done Anet. Hats that fit the theme of GW Xmas, and yet can still be pulled off for everyday use.

So far I've only gotten the horns, which I really like the glow on them. A little large for my female characters, but a great concept.

As for getting past "hats", I disagree. I missed the first Halloween and Wintersday as I didn't own the game. I somehow lost my Witch's hat from Halloween 2006 and didn't get the other one. This is my loss and ArenNet doesn't need to make up for my lack of interest in their game in 2005 or my idiocy in a later year. The people who have been here since the beginning deserve to have special items to show off.

Don't really care about the horns, but I like the halo. Cute idea, and I will definitely be wearing it.

Mm, yeah -- animation = good.

The hair removal thing people are mentioning -- that has to be the best part of a lot of the headgear we've been seeing lately. The ears/spectercles don't remove your hair, and the Wedding Attire give you a complementary hairstyle. This is a fantastic direction the artists are going in. I'm very, very pleased with it.

I really like both hats this year. Since I liked the Halloween ones, too, I'd say this is a win

Got my halo now. I really like this hat; not that my Darcy is an "angel" or anything.

I don't play as much as I used to but I still come back for the festivals. They are one of my favorite parts of Guild Wars going back to the very first one years ago.

These 2 hats are in my favorites. Sure, they might be like halos and horns from some other 'place' but there isn't much you can do to make them different. Especially a halo. You've seen one halo you've pretty much seen them all.

As for the horns being to big, I remember a set of Grenth horns that were really big too. And I still wear those occasionally.

Good job Anet. I like these hats.

Both horns and halo are awesome. Don't listen to the naysayers, this year's hats are well-designed and well-executed. Bravo Anet for once again going the extra mile on new free content.
